Summary

We collect only what we need to run Week · Energy: session identifiers, birth inputs you submit, generated weekly reports, payment status, and basic technical data. We use third-party hosts (Vercel, Supabase), payment processing (Creem), and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled). We do not sell personal data. Full weekly maps require purchase; you must be 18+ to pay.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Week · Energy("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit week.funybazi.comor use the weekly energy map service (the "Service").

Week · Energy is an entertainment product. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Read together with our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with mandatory law in your jurisdiction, the law prevails.

3. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account. The Service works with an anonymous browser session and a unique reading link. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

3.1 Information you provide

  • Birth date — required for one person
  • Optional birth hour — improves chart precision when provided
  • Optional nickname — used for display in the report only
  • Optional gender — used only to personalize Chinese zodiac comic styling when provided
  • Selected week window (Mon–Sun) and timezone
  • Reading access token — a random token in your reading URL so you can return to the same report
  • Payment initiation — when you unlock a full map, we create a payment record linked to your reading (amount, currency, status). We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our servers.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Session cookie (yuan_session) — a random identifier stored in an HttpOnly cookie so we can enforce the free tier (2 free generation(s) per local calendar day) and associate readings with your browser session
  • Network and device data — IP address, browser type, and request metadata used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and server logs
  • Turnstile verification token — when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process signals to help distinguish humans from bots
  • Hosting logs — our infrastructure provider may log requests for security and reliability

3.3 Generated and stored content

  • Report content — teaser snapshot and full weekly map (rule-engine and AI-assisted text, including Core Element, six life areas, day tips, and comic/tip-card assets when generated)
  • Chart metadata — birth inputs, week window, generation timestamps, and access expiry
  • AI logs (internal) — prompts, model responses, latency, and provider name for debugging and quality improvement; not shown to other users

3.4 What we do not intentionally collect

  • Place of birth or postal address (unless you include them in an email to us)
  • Real name or phone number (unless you include them in an email to us)
  • Precise geolocation beyond what your IP address may imply
  • Health records, biometric data, or government ID

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide the Service — generate, store, display, and unlock weekly maps
  • Manage access — enforce the free tier (2 generation(s) per local calendar day), paid 7-day access, and expired-access rules
  • Process payments — create checkout sessions, confirm successful payments via webhooks, and record payment status
  • Prevent abuse — rate limiting, bot detection (Turnstile, when enabled), and investigation of suspicious activity
  • Improve the product — analyze aggregated usage patterns, fix errors, and tune report quality
  • Comply with law — respond to lawful requests and protect our rights

We do not use your reading content to train third-party AI models unless a future update of this Policy says otherwise and applicable law allows it.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Payments

Full maps are sold at $1.99 (listed against $3.99 where shown). Card data is handled by Creem; we store payment status and order IDs, not full card numbers. Paid access lasts 7-day access.

6. Cookies

We use the session cookie yuan_session scoped to this site host (not a shared parent domain). Payment providers may set their own cookies on checkout. Theme preference may also be stored in a non-essential cookie when you switch themes.

7. Third-Party Processors

We rely on service providers who process data on our behalf, including:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
  • Supabase — database storage for readings and payment status (when configured)
  • Creem — payment checkout and order processing; Creem handles card data according to its own privacy policy
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection when enabled
  • LLM providers — optional narrative styling of report text
  • Analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) — aggregated usage metrics when configured

Links to third-party privacy policies are available on their respective websites. We are not responsible for third-party practices outside our instructions to them.

8. Retention

We retain reading and payment records for as long as needed to deliver paid access, handle disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Free snapshots and expired links may be deleted or anonymized after a reasonable period.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email legal@funybazi.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases typically include performance of a contract (delivering your reading), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies/analytics).

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. You must be 18+ (or the age of majority) to purchase. If you believe we have collected data from a child inappropriately, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
